Wind power is the clean way to produce energy as there is no pollution,
carbon dioxide, or
greenhouse gases produced during the operation of the turbines. There is no contribution to
climate change, and as a free and
renewable resource, no matter how much we use today, there will be more tomorrow. Equally as important, the land on which these
wind farms are built can still be used for agriculture.
Wind farms, (or wind plants), are a group of
wind turbines that generate bulk electrical power, which is then fed into a utility grid and distributed to customers. These can be both on land or off-shore. Extensive studies are conducted to ensure the productivity of wind farms when choosing a site. High average
wind speeds equals more energy.
